The Elementary Helper

WEB DESIGN

The Elementary Helper is an online resource for teachers and parents of students from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 3. With an existing logo, color palette, and a sister site (The Autism Helper), The Elementary Helper needed a design that would be consistent with their existing brand, but adapted to a different audience. I worked with a Project Manager and Wordpress developer to complete this project.

CHALLENGE

To create a web presence for The Elementary Helper based on existing brand guidelines

STYLE EXPLORATION

Given a brand guideline from the client, I created 3 style proposals for their content-feed style homepage. The client also requested that there be four distinct buckets for different program sections.

At this stage, I proposed that we adapt their color palette from bright primary colors to more desaturated colors for a more modern take on their theme of elementary education, and incorporated this into the style exploration.

FINAL DESIGNS

Following feedback from the client, I consolidated elements across all three styles to create the final designs for their homepage, about page, programs page and a blog post.
